  • began Manifesto Editing, a freelance academic editing business, in January 2018
  • coordinated the Skills Enhancement Program, a source of learning support for students and editing for academics, in the Faculty of Business and Law, University of Newcastle (2007-2017)
  • assessed manuscripts of various kinds for aspiring authors (1999-2003) and HSC English Extension 2 students (2000-2007) while rearing children, pursuing further studies and managing my family's moves up and down the eastern coastline of Australia
  • taught English at various Victorian secondary schools for 15 years (1975-1989), finishing with five years at Wesley College, Prahran
